SUSPENSION SERVICES WE OFFER

Basic Suspension Service

Most brands recommend doing this service every 30-50 riding hours. We will remove the lowers on your fork or the air sleeve on your rear shock.  We replace oils, seals, and lubricants to keep your suspension well and prevent early damage from wear.  Rear coil shocks do not require this service.

Full Service/Rebuild

Most suspension manufacturers recommend a full rebuild every 100–200 riding hours or annually to keep your suspension performing at its best. Our full service rebuild is the most comprehensive maintenance we offer for mountain bike forks and rear shocks, designed to restore factory-new performance and long-term reliability.

During this service, we fully disassemble your fork or shock, replacing all seals and fluids throughout the system. Where applicable, dampers are recharged with nitrogen to ensure proper pressure, consistency, and performance. This complete teardown allows us to thoroughly inspect all internal components, identify wear, and replace any parts that no longer meet manufacturer specifications.

Whenever possible, we utilize our LABA7 Vacuum Fill/Bleed machine to achieve a precise, air-free damper bleed, along with all required brand-specific specialty tools to ensure accurate assembly and top-tier results. The end goal is suspension that feels smooth, controlled, and responsive—just like it did when it was new.

Staying current with this service interval helps your suspension last through many seasons of riding, prevents premature wear, and avoids costly internal damage caused by contamination or lack of lubrication. Fresh internals make a big difference in performance, durability, and ride quality.

Fork Bushing Replacement

Fork bushing service intervals can vary by manufacturer, which is why we check the condition and feel of every fork’s bushings whenever it comes in for a full service. In general, if you’ve been keeping up with your recommended suspension maintenance, we suggest replacing fork bushings every other full service to maintain proper performance and longevity.

Bushings are a critical structural component in most suspension forks. They provide a low-friction, precisely aligned “track” that allows the stanchions to slide smoothly inside the lower legs as you charge down the trail. Because they support constant side loads and impacts, bushings are under significant stress and will eventually wear out.

When bushings become worn, they can create excess play and friction, and over time may begin to damage the stanchion’s surface or coating, leading to costly repairs if left unaddressed. Replacing worn bushings helps restore proper alignment, improves small-bump sensitivity, and protects your fork’s upper tubes from premature wear.

We offer replacement bushings for many fork brands and models, using the proper tools and techniques to ensure accurate fit and smooth operation. If you’re looking to bring your fork back to like-new performance, ask us about refreshing your suspension with new lower leg bushings.

Fork Bushing Burnishing/Resizing

Fork bushing burnishing (also known as resizing) is a precision service designed to optimize the critical interface between your fork’s bushings and stanchions. Using a series of precisely sized burnishing dies, we fine-tune this often-overlooked tolerance to dramatically reduce friction and improve suspension sensitivity.

From the factory, not all bushings are sized perfectly—and not all stanchions measure exactly the same diameter either. Even small variations can add unnecessary drag, affecting small-bump compliance and overall fork feel. Burnishing allows us to carefully bring the bushings into ideal alignment with your specific stanchions, creating a smoother, more consistent sliding surface.

We’ve performed this service on our own forks and experienced noticeable performance gains—so much so that some of us had to adjust rebound settings to account for how much faster and smoother the fork was moving through its travel.

If you’re looking to unlock that extra level of performance, improve small-bump sensitivity, and get your fork running as smoothly as possible, ask us about fork bushing burnishing. It’s a subtle change that delivers a big improvement on the trail.

Trek IsoStrut Full service

You read that right, we offer full service on the specialty proprietary shocks too. If you can get the shock off of the frame feel free to just send us that, but if you want to send us the whole frame (or even the bike) we would be happy to facilitate shipping so we can perform a full service on all of the pivots and other integrated parts on the frame. We have the tools for ThruShaft service too!

Steerer Tube Replacement/Conversion

Accidentally cut that tube a bit too short? Want a lighter-weight or heavier-duty steerer tube for your suspension fork? Got a tapered steerer but want to switch to a straight steerer tube? We’ve got you covered! With custom made tools and our handy hydraulic press we are ready to replace your steerer tube with ND Tuned aftermarket steerer tubes. *We keep popular steerers in inventory but some specialty requests may have longer lead-times, just ask and we would be happy to fill you in.

Creaky Crown or General CSU (uppers assembly) Solutions

We ask a lot of our single-crown forks and sometimes they creak and groan when they’ve put up with enough stress. Sure you could always go buy a new CSU, but those are expensive and we have the tools to fix the problem! There is a very tight interference fit where the stanchion tubes and steerer tube are all pressed into their respective bores in the crown, under consistent heavy and repetitive loads from braking and compressions these interfaces can develop pitting from corrosion. This is normal but under the right conditions the corrosion can cause your fork to make a pretty nasty creaking noise when loaded in just the right way. We use custom-machined accessories for our hydraulic press to remove the stanchion or steerer from the crown, clean off the interfaces, and reinstall everything with the appropriate retaining compound to prevent creaking. If you suspect your fork is creaking like this just let us know in your service request and we will check for this problem during service.

Stanchion Tube Replacements

For a limited selection of fork models we can offer full replacement of damaged stanchions with ND Tuned Black coated stanchion tubes. If you need your stanchions replaced just let us know what fork you have and we will check to see if we can do it for you.

Internals Upgrades

Many brands offer aftermarket upgrades for your fork or shock, from damper pistons to optimize oil flow to external air chambers to dial in your negative air-spring, we do it all. We partner with many brands to offer the highest quality modifications to completely dial in your suspension! We love to get nerdy about these things so don’t hesitate to ask us what you can do to eek out even more performance from your fork or shock. Let’s have a conversation about how you want to improve your suspension and we’ll see what we can do for you, with products from Vorsprung, WPS, Push Industries, and many more we would love to get your suspension running even better. Ask us about: Performance damper internals like high-flow pistons or factory internals updates, fork coil spring conversions, airspring tuning, or even re-tuning your damper to customize it for your specific needs. If you’ve seen it online or heard about it at the trailhead, chances are we can provide it to you along with all of the info you need to get it running right.
